Samsung’s Galaxy series appears to be an ever growing family with new members getting added frequently. This time it’s not one, but two new phones joining the Galaxy camp. The Galaxy Young and the Galaxy Fame are aimed at lower end of the market and just get the job done.
The Galaxy Young sports a 3.27-inch, 480 x 320 resolution LCD, 1GHz processor, 768MB of RAM and 4 GB internal memory with microSD card slot. A 3 megapixel fixed focus camera takes care of the photography needs. On the connectivity front there’s Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. The phone would come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and pack a 1,300mAh battery.
The Galaxy Fame on the other hand comes with similar internals but has a slightly bigger 3.5-inch display with the same resolution. The camera also also been upped to 5 megapixel and the phone additionally has a VGA front facing camera. However the phone has only 512 MB RAM (we don’t know why) and comes with optional NFC.
No word on the pricing yet but expect the phones to be priced around Rs 10,000.
