Eleven months since its debut on iOS and Android, Windows Phone users will finally be getting to steal treasure from an ancient temple in the sky and later getting chased by a demonic monkey. Yes, we’re talking about Temple Run 2. The game has finally landed on the Windows Phone Store. Users will also be delighted to know that it comes as an Xbox titles with achievements.
Set in a new environment (in the sky), the game brings several new elements to keep it fresh and exciting. Gameplay includes trying to outrun a larger demonic monkey than the original, taking the player through mines and grappling on ropes. The game is available for free like its Android and iOS counterparts. However, for now it will only run on devices with 1GB RAM. Users with low end WP8 devices will have to wait a little longer for an update that will allow the app to run on their phones.
This comes after another popular endless runner, Subway Surfers was released on the platform this week. Microsoft and Nokia are aggressively pushing after developers to bring all the big titles to Windows Phone. We wonder what’s next. Perhaps, Candy Crush Saga, since users are fast running out of apps that are missing from the Windows Phone Store. You can download the game in Windows Phone Store here or can scan the QR code below.
