Rumor mill has been quite active in the past about Micromax’s upcoming phablet phones including the A111 Canvas. The phone just got promoted to official, with e-commerce site selling the phone for Rs 12,999.

Selling under the name of Micromax Canvas Doodle A111, the phone comes with a 5.3 inch qHD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8225Q quad-core processor. there’s also 512MB RAM, 8 megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 1.22GB of usable internal storage, microSD card slot and a 2,100mAh battery. the phone runs on Android 4.1.2 and supports active dual SIM. Also, there’s a stylus clearly visible in the photograph, leading one to speculate that it will come bundled with the package.

At Rs 13,000, having a phone with just 512MB RAM isn’t a very smart decision according to us. We wouldn’t have been complaining had it been Samsung or HTC, but Micromax simply doesn’t has that appeal yet that will make its devices sell even if the specs aren’t, well, extraordinary for the asking price.
