Micromax today announced the latest member to the Canvas family dubbed as Canvas Music A88. As the name would suggest you, the phone has been designed (or marketed) keeping music lovers in mind. Micromax is offering free JBL Tempo headsets with every device and there’s also an MLive app on the phone which allows for unlimited song downloads.

Talking about the specs (because that’s what we do), the phone comes with a 4.5 inch 480 x 854 pixels display. There’s a dual core MediaTek processor at the core clocked at 1.2GHz. Additionally, the phone packs 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, VGA front camera, microSD slot and an 1,800 mAh battery to keep things up and running. The phone runs on Android 4.1.2 and supports dual SIM configuration.

While we highly doubt that the phone comes with a dedicated audio chip, bundling the phone with a pair of headsets doesn’t exactly make it a music phone. Micromax is certainly no HTC, offering Beats audio on their devices, but at RS 8,499, the isn’t bad otherwise.
