micromax android 4.4

Certainly, Indian manufacturer Micromax isn’t as big as Samsung or LG, but it sure is trying its best to get on the global platform. After signing Mr. Wolverine as the brand ambassador, an internal documentation leaked by MMXCaster reveals that the company plans to update 10 of its handsets to Android 4.4 KitKat.

The handsets in line for the update are the Canvas series A117, A116, A114, A111, A110, A110Q, A116i, as well as, Canvas Doodle 2 A240, Canvas 4 A210 and the Canvas Turbo A250. Also, a yet unannounced A200 is also slated for the KitKat update. Meanwhile, the A115 and A113 will be receiving a Android 4.2.1 refresh, while the A101 and A100 are supposed to get Android 4.1 update.

There’s no ETA on the updates, but still updating most of the company’s roster to the latest version can only mean good news for the Indian manufacturer, which has already become the second biggest player in India and plans to expand overseas.
