Not resting with releasing a pair of high end smartphones, Sony is readying two new Android smartphones codenamed Dogo and Gaga that will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor. As if that wasn’t enough, the company also plans to launch a phablet codenamed ‘Togaari’ by the end of the year.
According to the report on Japanese website smasoku.mobi, Xperia A (Dogo) will pack a 4.6 inch HD display along with Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a removable 2300 mAh battery. The phone will be water and dustproof like the Xperia Z and will sport an IR blaster. Xperia A is expected to be available on NTT Docomo by this summer.
Xperia UL will pack a 5 inch 1080p display, with other specs similar to Xperia A. The design of the phone is said to match that of Xperia ZL. The phone will be launched by summer again. Both the phones will run Android 4.2.1.
Also, Sony might release a phablet codenamed ‘Togari’ with a 6.4 inch FHD display. However, the phone isn’t confirmed for now and might not get released.
We just hope for Sony’s sake, that by the time the company is out with these phones, the other manufacturers would not have moved to faster Snapdragon 800 or Tegra 4i processors on their phones, leaving Sony a step behind everyone else yet again.
