HTC One S users in India will be glad to know that their phone is finally getting to taste a new dessert. HTC has rolled out the Jelly Bean update for the phone which is now available for download via OTA.
The Indian version of the One S packs a Snapdragon S3 SoC instead of the Snapdragon S4 that is available on the global version, hence the delay. The official change long provided in the update shows the following significant changes:
- Android 4.1.1, HTC Sense 4+
- Enhanced UI and better performance in camera
- New landing page and Event/Map view in Gallery
- Power management improvement
Of course these changes are additional to what Jelly Bean brings to the table including Project Butter, Google Now and enhanced widgets. The update is a hefty 598MB in size and we recommend you download it over WiFi. It can be manually triggered by going to Settings=>About Phone=>Software Update.
