Two months ago Sony did not even have one phone in its lineup that could compete with the likes of Galaxy S III or HTC One X. But now it seems the company is soon going to have two. The specs of the latest Sony Xperia C670X have surfaced indicating an even more powerful phone than the Xperia Z.
According to a tipster for Xperiablog.net, the C670X will reportedly have a 4.8” 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 600 CPU with a four Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and a 13MP camera Exmore RS camera. It will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The tip was accompanied by a rendered front image of the phone which could even be a fake, so take this news with a pinch of salt.
The C670X is supposed to be paired along with C680X similar to the Xperia Z/ZL duo. While Sony might not release the phone anytime soon, it would make sense to have a phone that would compete with the likes of HTC One and LG Optimus G Pro, both of which pack a Snapdragon 600 instead of the older and less powerful Snapdragon S4 Pro found on the Xperia Z.
