The wait is finally over. Err well almost. Nokia Lumia 620, the handset that the entire country has been waiting for is almost on the front door of retail shops in India and should be available by this week (hopefully). It has already been listed on online retailer Flipkart and is available for pre-order at a price tag of Rs 15,199.

The Lumia 620 needs no introduction. The phone delivers WP8 for an affordable price. While Nokia has managed to keep the price low, believe us when we tell you that this phone is no slacker. It sports a 3.8 inch, 480 x 800 pixels TFT display along with a dual core Krait processor from Qualcomm, clocked at 1 GHz . On the storage front you get 8 GB inbuilt memory along with room for expansion via micro SD card. The phone houses a 5 MP rear camera along with a VGA front facing camera. Additionally it packs a 1300 mAh battery which although may appear to be small, can give some solid backup according to the reviews we’ve read. The phone also sports a NFC radio and 512MB RAM. The entire package weighs 127 grams.

The Lumia 620 has been delayed in the country more number of times than anybody can remember. After months of hold up, the phone was expected to be available on 28th February. But the release got pushed back again. However with the phone being available for pre order both on Flipkart and Nokia’s official online retail channel, we don’t think that the release can be really far now. And for the price tag it carries all can be forgiven. After all the closest competitor to the phone,  the HTC 8S is priced almost Rs 4,000 more. We just hope that Nokia get us the recently announced Lumia 520 and 720 soon enough too.
