Remember that announcement Sony made during MWC about launching Xperia Z in 60 countries this week? Turns out India is one of them. The company has put up a teaser on its official Facebook India page indicating a launch date of 6th March for the Xperia Z.
Announced back at CES, the Xperia Z comes with a 5-inch 1080p display ,a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 13MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. It packs many exciting features including a 2330 mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC and FM radio. The phone is also IP57 certified making it water and dust resistant. There’s also a micro SD slot for expandable memory.
No word on the pricing yet but we won’t be surprised if it is upwards of Rs 40,000 similar to the HTC Butterfly. The phone is expected to be available in Black, White and Purple colors.
