It seems Micromax is gearing up for another round of smartphone launches in India. After launching Canvas 3D last week, reports are coming in that the company will launch two more phablets in the country, dubbed as Micromax A120 Canvas HD Pro and A110Q Canvas. In fact, the former has already been listed on online retailer Sulekha.
Talking about the specs, the A120 Canvas HD Pro takes the legacy of Canvas HD forward by adding more horsepower. The phone comes with a 5.5 inch full HD (that’s right, 1080p) display and a quad core Cortex A7 processor clocked at an astonishing 2GHz (though it’s still Cortex A7 architecture). The phone is also equipped with 2GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage, 13 megapixel camera and a 3.2 megapixel front camera. There’s also a beefy 3,000 mAh battery inside. The phone will run on Android 4.2.1, leaving even HTC One and Xperia Z behind. On the spec sheet, the Canvas HD Pro has got everything to take on Galaxy S4, and given that Micromax will price it close to Rs 20,000, we expect it to be an instant hit.
The other phone that has been making rounds is the A110Q Canvas, which appears to be Canvas 2 on steroids. The phone will expectantly come with a quad core Cortex A7 processor (why do we have a feeling that both the phones will pack the same processor), and a 5 inch FWVGA display. other details about the phone are not known yet, but rumors suggest that the phone will feature 4GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. Also, it is expected to be priced at Rs 12,000.
