We’ve seen Galaxy S5 and now we’ve even seen the Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy K Zoom. As such, there’s no secret that there’s a Galaxy S5 mini is in the pipeline too. Now we have the alleged live shots of the phone, courtesy Sammobile.
The pictures show the Galaxy S5 mini bearing a striking resemblance to its elder sibling. It’s got the same shape, a similar dotted back and rubber padding to the inside of the back cover, implying that the phone would be water resistant too. Then there’s even a heart rate monitor below the camera and what appears to be a fingerprint scanner on the home button. Clearly, Samsung isn’t looking to compromise on the feature with the junior version.
The phone is also rumored to pack a 4.5 inch 720p display, a new Exynos 3 quad processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP and 2MP rear and front cameras and 16 gigs of internal memory. It will run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box as expected and should have all of Galaxy S5’s extra software goodies.
No word on the launch date of the phone yet. And of course, you should take such rumors and leaks with a pinch of salt.
