Apple has released an update to iOS bringing it to version 6.1 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod users. The new update brings LTE support to 36 additional carriers around the world (no Airtel 4G still won’t work) offering the iPhone. Other updates include Siri update which finally allows users to purchase movie tickets via Fandango. Also iTunes Match update allows users to download individual songs from the iCloud. The new update also brings many bug fixes and improvements to the table.
Additionally Apple revealed that in the five months since its release approximately 300 million devices have been updated to run on iOS 6 (that includes devices that came running with iOS 6 out of the box). That’s quite a number to brag about.
The iOS 6.1 update is available for free for the owners of the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini and the iPod (fourth and fifth generation).
