Another budget phone from Micromax, this time called the Smarty A65. The dual SIM phone is priced at Rs 4,999 and packs a 4.3 inch WVGA (480X800) display powered by a 1 GHz single core ARM Cortex A5 processor. This is Micromax’s first phone to feature a Spreadtrum chipset.
The phone houses in 512 MB RAM but comes with a measly internal storage of just 190 MB. Fortunately it is expandable upto 32 GB via micro SD. There’s also a 2 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3 MP front camera for video chat. On the connectivity front there’s the usual WiFi and Bluetooth but the phone skips 3G and GPS which is expected at this price point. However the Smarty A65 comes with an outdated Android 2.3.5 which is disappointing given the version is now two iterations old. The phone is powered by a 1359 mAh battery which can deliver a talk time of up to 5 hours.
