Nexus 5 launch date reportedly pushed back to January 1st

A lot of human beings on planet Earth were eagerly awaiting January 28th and the launch of Android KitKat and Nexus 5 that was supposed to happen on that day. It’s 28th today and so far, we’ve seen no announcements regarding a chocolaty Android. However, a new leak coming from @evleaks suggests that the Nexus 5 along with the new OS version could get announced on January 1st. What’s more, we’re talking about the white version of the phone here.

Since most about the phone is already known, we’re not expecting any big surprises, but just for the phone to get announced officially. Nexus 5 would be packing a 4.95 inch 1080p display and would be powered by Snapdragon 800 processor. Additionally, it would be packing 2GB RAM, 8MP camera with OIS, 2,300mAh battery and Android 4.4. The phone would also come with wireless charging and LTE onboard. To put icing on the cake, an accidental listing by Google on the Play Store a few days back revealed that the Nexus 5 would go on sale for $349 for the 16GB version.

We’re hoping the leak is indeed true and that the phone and the new Android version do not get delayed any further.
