After the huge success of Moto G, Motorola is looking to release its successor soon. We’ve already heard quite a bit of rumors about the phone and now, we’ve got more info thanks to benchmarking website GFXBench.
A new Motorola device with codename XT1063 has been spotted GFXBench database, and it seems like it is the successor to the Moto G. The specs reveal a 720p 5 inch display, which can considered an improvement over the original’s 4.3 inch unit. The phone also packs a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor, 1GB RAM and 8 gigs of internal storage. The camera department has also received an upgrade, with the phone sporting an megapixel rear camera and a 2MP front snapper. Moto G2 will be running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat when it hits the stores and will likely get upgraded to Android L later.
With Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi putting pressure on the Moto G, the upgrade seems like a worthwhile one. Motorola could release the phone alongside Moto X+1 this fall.
