The largest phone in Samsung’s arsenal is getting the latest software update. We’re talking about Galaxy Mega 6.3 that never really came into the limelight due to its rather Goliath size and disappointing mediocre specs. The update takes the Android version on the phone from 4.2 Jelly Bean to 4.4 KitKat.
According to reports, the update is currently rolling out in Russia and will start to trickle down to other parts of the world in the coming days. What’s more, it seems like the update is only available through Kies for the moment and isn’t available over the air.
In terms of features you get Android 4.4 along with improved performance and battery life. Then there’s wireless printing support, minor UI changes and all the related stuff you’ve seen on other phones receiving the same update.
