Sony might have admitted that they don’t have any real champion when it comes to flagship phones but that doesn’t mean the company is similarly unarmed in the mid range and low end segment of the market. Further strengthening its position Sony just made the Xperia E and Xperia E dual official. Except for the dual SIM functionality the latter is identical to the former.
The phone packs an entry level MSM7227A Snapdragon S1 processor clocked at 1 GHz. It should be capable enough to enable the duo to run Jelly Bean. While Xperia E will have Jelly Bean out of the box, Xperia E dual will be upgraded later. There’s also 512MB RAM and 4 GB inbuilt memory along with expansion slot. The phone features a 3.5 inch HVGA display and a 3.2 mp snapper. To power it all there’s a 1500 mAh battery at the core. All this comes in a 11 mm thick body weighing 115g.
Xperia E wil be available in white, pink and black while the dual SIM variant will be made available in black and gold only. The phones will be available sometime in January next year (that is if you survive 21st January). No word on the pricing yet but we believe the price to be around $200.
