Sony has started seeding the Android 4.4.4 update for Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra. Android 4.4.4 contains a minor patch that fixes an OpenSSL bug, which opens up the phone to a man-in-the-middle attack.
Bundled in firmware build 14.4.A.0.108, the update is currently rolling out to the Xperia Z1 C6903 and Xperia Z Ultra C6833 variants. Besides the security patch, Sony has also brought a few more enhancements with the new firmware. Here’s the changelog:
