You’ll finally be able to play those 4K videos that you can record on your smartphones and camcorders on your laptop in full glory. Toshiba has announced Satellite P55t, which is the world’s first notebook to offer a 4K Ulta High Definition display.
The 15.6 inch IPS display unit on the notebook offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, for a density of 282 ppi. That’s close to what modern day smartphones have to offer. The display also comes with Technicolor certification for accurate color gamut. That’s not all and Toshiba has equipped the Satellite P55t well otherwise too. It comes sporting a fourth generation Intel Core i7 CPU along with AMD Radeon R9 M265X graphics card with 2GB of DDR5 RAM. The notebook can also be loaded with up to 16GB RAM, 1TB hard disk with 3D impact sensor. There’s also a Blu-ray drive besides the usual ports. Then there’s the frameless LED-backlit keyboard and Harman Kardon speakers with DTS audio processing.
The notebook will go on sale in the US starting April 22nd for a price tag of $1,499.
