The popular cross platform messaging and VoIP service Viber has landed on Windows 8. Although this wouldn’t be the first time PC users are seeing the app on their machines, as it has been available for PC and Mac since the past seven months. The new app brings special touch optimized interface for Windows 8. Taking advantage of the new operating system’s Tiles, Viber now supports pinning conversations to the Start Screen.

Also, the app supports Windows 8 Snap View feature allowing it to be docked to one side of the display. Toast notifications and lockscreen notifications are also a part of the package. Lastly, the app is now integrated with universal search on Windows 8 and users can search for contacts using Search charm.

The app is available for free on the Windows Store and can be downloaded from here.
